The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has designated November as adopt a senior pet month. This is the time of year for those of you who just don't have the time and energy to raise a puppy or kitten to start thinking about rescuing a senior. Senior animals bond with their new owners just as well as puppies and are much easier to train (if they even need training at all).
The companionship that an older pet provides is worth the time it would take to look into the rescue and adoption facilities near you. Just to get you started, here are a few places in the Gwinnett County area to start the search for your new friend.
